AE Expeditions Cruise Ships

Greg Mortimer

Launched in 2019, the Greg Mortimer was named after one of the founders of AE Expeditions. The ship, built by China Merchants Heavy Industry in Jiangsu, China, measures 104 meters in length and can accommodate 132 passengers in 79 cabins. It’s notable for being the first passenger vessel to feature the revolutionary ULSTEIN X-BOW®, which provides improved stability in rough seas, enhanced ship speed, and reduced environmental impact.

Sylvia Earle

Also built by China Merchants Heavy Industry and launched in 2022, the Sylvia Earle matches the Greg Mortimer in length and technological innovations, including the ULSTEIN X-BOW®. This ship, however, has 71 cabins and can similarly accommodate 132 passengers. It’s named in honor of the renowned marine biologist Sylvia Earle.
