For many, the view itself justifies the voyage, but the inviting interior of our ships, with all they provide, is equally appealing to the senses.
The ship houses two restaurants, a bar with panoramic views, a lobby shop, and a café. An outdoor bar opens whenever suitable. Menus feature local food and the finest Norwegian ingredients.
With on-board facilities and entertainment, there is always an activity available, even when you prefer a break from admiring the passing scenery.
On board you can learn about Norwegian history, culture and cuisine. There’s also some Nordic fun when we cross into the Arctic Circle.
The Norwegian coast, with its ever-changing views confers an air of tranquillity as it glides slowly by. Sometimes we pass particularly spectacular locations along the coast. We will give you a little advance notice and information about such places.
You can enjoy the views through the large windows or you may prefer to go up on deck for a closer view.
As we pass the Arctic Circle, we invite you out on deck to a playful baptism ceremony by Njord, the Norse god of the sea.
During your voyage, you will also be invited to sample traditional Norwegian food.
In summer, it stays bright throughout the night during the summer. In the very far north of the Arctic Circle you can see all of the sun over the horizon, and experience the most nights of midnight sun.
Away from the comfort of the ship, you’re free to craft and enjoy an experience that is as individual as you are. You are invited to join us on trips every day. We offer around 70 excursions, so you can customise your trip depending on the season.
See Norwegian islands, fjords and Arctic nature at close quarters; try traditional Norwegian food and experience the country’s culture and history. Experience the highlights of the Norwegian coast with the Havila Voyages’ excursion programme. Speed across the plains on dog or reindeer sledges. Take a trip in a rib to watch sea eagles or feel the power of Saltstraumen, the strongest tidal current in the world. Gaze in wonder at the medieval architecture of Nidaros Cathedral, one of northern Europe’s largest cathedrals, or enjoy a traditional banquet in the Viking chieftain's longhouse. Suite guests both in presidential suites and junior suites have room service with no addition cost for delivery. Other travelers can also order from the on board-menu and have the food delivered, but have to pay a an extra fee for delivery.
Are there cabins for disabled guests on board?
Havila Voyages is adapted for disabled people, and we have 18 cabins that are accessible for wheelchair users. They all include shower chairs. Ten of these cabins are interior plus cabins, six are seaview plus, and two are junior suites with balconies. These cabins must be ordered directly via Havila Voyages’ customer service.
Is there enough space for wheelchair users to easily get around the ship?
The ships have wide corridors and large common areas, making it easy to manoeuvre a wheelchair no matter where you are on the ship.
What kind of aid do you have for the hearing impaired?
There are teleloops installed at the reception, in the shop, in the café, and at the butler’s right outside the main restaurant.A vibrating alarm can be obtained on request at the reception desk. You place it under your pillow, and it will wake you in the event of an emergency.
Do you have information signs for blind and visually impaired guests?
There is braille on the railings at the stairs, signs with cabin numbers, signs outside the HC toilet, and in common areas.
How do wheelchair users board the ship?
The ship has a gangway lift with a weight limit of 225 kg.
Do you have wheelchairs onboard?
There is one wheelchair on board. It is expected that wheelchair users bring their own equipment.
Do you have crutches on board?
No. People with reduced mobility are encouraged to bring the necessary equipment themselves.
Guide dogs and service dogs that are specially trained to perform tasks for blind or severely visually impaired people, or for people with physical disabilities. These dogs are welcome in common areas on board except from the restaurants. If the guest is traveling with a cabin, only pet-friendly cabins without floor carpet are allowed with a guide dog/service dog.
You are traveling in nature, the dress code is casual and you do not need to dress up for dinner.
As we sail along the coast and near harbors, we do not have a permanent doctor on board. However, our staff is extensively trained in first aid and can provide basic medical assistance. Moreover, we have a dedicated safety officer to oversee the well-being of passengers and crew.
Located on deck four, we have a well-equipped hospital ward with two sick bays. In case of severe health issues, we have a direct connection to shore through digital assistance, ensuring prompt access to the necessary help. Additionally, three defibrillators are strategically placed on different decks for added safety.
Storing medicines that need to stay cool
There are cooling drawers on all exterior cabins of all categories. If you stay in an interior cabin, do you have to contact the reception on board, they will help you with a solution.
The crew speaks Norwegian, English and/or German. Written information is also available in these languages.
There is a designated smoking area on deck 8 in addition to the fact that you can smoke outside on your own balcony if you have chosen such a cabin type.
We take allergies into account and can offer, for example, gluten-free and lactose-free alternatives. We also serve vegetarian and vegan dishes. We appreciate it if you tell us about allergies and wishes for alternatives in advance. This can be done via Havila's customer center from three weeks before departure.
Havila Voyages offers free Wi-Fi.
We only allow cars on board for the entire stretch from Bergen to Kirkenes or from Kirkenes to Bergen, not from individual ports. The car can be no longer than 5.2 meters, with a maximum width of 2.25 meters, and a maximum height of 2.1 meters. You must book a car in advance if you want to bring it on the ship.Electric, hybrid, and hydrogen cars are prohibited on board.
Havila Voyages offers two main packages of beverages on board: One with alcohol and one without.
Non-alcoholic Beverage Package
Enjoy your voyage with a non-alcoholic beverage package of 30, 40, or 50 units. Make your choices between a wide variety of mineral water, soft drinks, premium coffee such as Café Latte, Cappuccino and Espresso, non-alcoholic cocktails, and non-alcoholic beer and wine. The units can be used at all serving points on board.

On board our new coastal cruise ships, the emphasis is on providing passengers with spacious cabins. Our cabins are intended to be pleasant places to relax during the day and sleep well at night. The typical Nordic décor reflects the landscape through which you will be sailing.
Most of the cabins have sea views, while others are located inside the ship. Some of these are small, with just two beds and make an inexpensive alternative if you are not travelling far. Our cabins and suites range from 16m² to 45m², and can accommodate up to four people. All cabins have wifi and USB ports.
There are only two Lighthouse suites on each ship. The Lighthouse suites feature our most exclusive accommodation. The quality of the bed linen is superior to that in other cabins. The bed is wider and better. Superior-quality furniture.
In the living room you have both a seating area and dining room furniture, as well as a large sofa in front of the TV. The bath has a shower and a bath. Your private balcony has a jacuzzi. You can lay back here and enjoy starry skies, the Northern Lights or the midnight sun.
A welcome pack will be waiting for you when you board. You will also get personal follow-up, extra service and great offers throughout your journey. Guests in the Lighthouse suite can choose between a breakfast in the main restaurant or in Hildring Fine Dining.
Bathrobes and slippers are of course included in a suite that is equipped with everything you need. There is a free minibar that is refilled every day.
Lighthouse Suite:How about your very own balcony? A place that's just yours, where you can have a coffee or read a book, feel the fresh air and be completely at peace. In the suite, the room is divided by wall with a swivel TV so you can watch TV from both the living room and the bed - if you don't want to watch the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Junior Suite with Balcony:
The Balcony Deluxe and Balcony Accessible cabins are located on upper decks and have floor-to-ceiling windows and their own balcony of approx 6 sqm. The cabins also have a large wardrobe, desk and a separate bathroom with shower. TV, refrigerator, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Our Accessible cabins all have larger bathrooms.
Balcony Deluxe & Balcony Accessible
The Balcony Deluxe and Balcony Accessible cabins are located on upper decks and have floor-to-ceiling windows and their own balcony of approx 6 sqm. The cabins also have a large wardrobe, desk and a separate bathroom with shower. TV, refrigerator, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Our Accessible cabins all have larger bathrooms.
Balcony Deluxe & Balcony Accessible
These cabins are located on deck 7 at the bow of the ship and have floor-to-ceiling windows. You are looking out in the direction that the ship is sailing, and you will feel like the skipper at the helm.
Panoramic Superior and Panoramic Deluxe
These cabins are located on deck 7 at the bow of the ship and have floor-to-ceiling windows. You are looking out in the direction that the ship is sailing, and you will feel like the skipper at the helm.

In the deluxe cabins we have placed extra emphasis on quality and comfort of the interior and furnishings. With the Seaview Deluxe, you get a spacious cabin located at the front of deck 7 or at the stern of the ship on deck 5.
Seaview Deluxe
Our cabins in the Accessible category are larger with more spacious bathrooms suitable for wheelchair users. The Seaview Accessible has a double bed in addition to a sofa.
The cabin also has a large wardrobe and a desk.
Keep in mind that these cabins are mainly reserved for guests who need extra space due to their use of mobility aids.
