Experiencing the Regent Seven Seas Splendor: A Day Onboard with the Art of Travel Team

 

On Sunday 22 September 2024,  my fellow members of the Art of Travel team and I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Regent Seven Seas Splendor, and what an experience it was! From the moment we stepped onboard, we were enveloped in luxury and elegance.

 

First Impressions: A Grand Welcome

As we entered the ship, the grand atrium took our breath away. With its soaring ceilings and stunning chandeliers, it immediately set the tone for a day of indulgence. The warm welcome from the crew made us feel right at home, and we couldn’t wait to explore every inch of this beautiful vessel.

 

 

Touring the Suites: Luxurious Comfort

One of the highlights of our visit was touring the various suites, each meticulously designed with high-end finishes and thoughtful details:

 

• Regent Suite (1400): This stunning suite offered breathtaking ocean views and an expansive living area, making it the epitome of luxury. The ultimate luxurious suite at sea!
• Master Suite: With elegant decor and spacious accommodations, this suite provides an exceptional retreat at sea. My personal favourite!
• Grand Suite (1015): A perfect blend of comfort and style, this suite features a large living area and luxurious amenities.
• Splendor Suite: Known for its exquisite design and attention to detail, the Splendor Suite is a beautiful space for relaxation.
• Penthouse A (1405): This suite boasts a spacious balcony, ideal for enjoying stunning views while sipping a morning coffee.
• Concierge Suite: Identical to the Superior Suites but without the concierge amenities, these suites still offer a high level of luxury and comfort.
• G2 Deluxe Veranda (aft, next to Master Suite): This cabin provides a fantastic location with beautiful views and direct access to the sea breeze.

The attention to detail in the decor and amenities truly reflects the ship’s commitment to providing an unforgettable experience.

 

Dining Delights: Restaurants Onboard

After touring the suites, we were eager to explore the dining options available on the ship. Each restaurant offers a unique culinary experience:

• Compass Rose: This main dining venue offers a sophisticated atmosphere with an extensive menu that features international cuisine. Guests can enjoy a variety of dishes, from gourmet appetizers to decadent desserts, all prepared with the finest ingredients. The ability to customize meals adds a personal touch to the dining experience.
• La Veranda: The buffet restaurant where we enjoyed lunch. It offers a diverse selection of fresh salads, grilled seafood, and savoury meats, all expertly prepared. The vibrant atmosphere and ocean views made it an enjoyable setting for a leisurely meal. It’s perfect for casual dining, with different themed nights showcasing global cuisines.
• Sette Mari at La Veranda: In the evening, La Veranda transforms into this Italian-themed restaurant. Here, we indulged in authentic Italian dishes, including handmade pasta and regional specialties. The cozy ambiance and attentive service make it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner.
• Prime 7: This upscale steakhouse is known for its premium cuts of meat and exquisite seafood options. The elegant decor creates a refined dining experience, complemented by an extensive wine list. We were told the dry-aged steaks are a must-try!
• Chartreuse: This French restaurant exudes elegance and serves classic French cuisine with a modern twist. The menu features delicacies like coq au vin and ratatouille, all presented with artistic flair. The intimate atmosphere makes it ideal for a special night out.
• The Lounge: A relaxed spot for casual bites and afternoon tea. We enjoyed light snacks and beverages, making it a great place to unwind while enjoying the views.

 

 

 

Lunch at La Veranda: A Culinary Delight

During our visit, we indulged in a delightful lunch at La Veranda. The dining area was beautifully arranged, offering a wide variety of culinary delights. We savoured fresh salads, grilled seafood, and savoury meats, all expertly prepared. The attentive staff ensured we had everything we needed, making the dining experience even more pleasant. This was followed by a fantastic selection of deserts – we all indulged in several deserts each!

 

Exploring the Ship: A World of Luxury

We also took some time to explore the ship. The Observation Lounge was a favourite spot, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. The decor is both chic and comfortable, making it an ideal place to relax with a book or enjoy a cocktail.

 

 

Fitness and Wellness: Gym and Spa

We also made a stop at the gym, just for a quick look – no time to work out! The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art fitness machines and free weights. The space is bright and airy, with large windows that provide stunning views of the sea while you work out. Whether you’re looking to maintain your fitness routine or just want to try something new, this gym offers everything you need.

We couldn’t resist checking out the Serene Spa & Wellness. This tranquil oasis features a range of treatments, from massages to facials. The spa’s luxurious ambiance and skilled therapists promise a rejuvenating experience. We also loved the thermal suite, which offers a perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.

We took a moment to enjoy the infinity-edge plunge pool, which provided a serene setting with panoramic ocean views. It was the perfect way to refresh and recharge.

 

 

Evening Entertainment: Constellation Theatre and Cocktail Lounges

We made our way to the Constellation Theatre, with its plush seating and state-of-the-art acoustics, this venue hosts Broadway-style shows and live performances that captivate the audience.

Before taking in a show, passengers have the opportunity to enjoy a cocktail at one of the ship’s elegant cocktail lounges. The Meridian Lounge and Splendor Lounge both offer a sophisticated ambiance, perfect for sipping signature cocktails while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. Live music filled the air, creating a lively yet relaxed environment to unwind with friends.

 

 

Final Thoughts

Our visit to the Regent Seven Seas Splendor was an unforgettable experience. From the luxurious cabins to the exquisite dining and elegant spaces, every detail was curated for ultimate comfort and style. If you ever get the chance to set sail on this beautiful ship, don’t miss it—it’s a true gem on the high seas!
